Pengembangan materi ajar BIPA menuntut pendekatan inovatif yang mampu mengintegrasikan unsur bahasa, budaya, dan kompetensi interkultural bagi pembelajar dari berbagai negara. Dalam praktik pengajaran, pembelajar BIPA sering menunjukkan kebutuhan untuk memahami karakter masyarakat Indonesia, norma sosial, adat budaya, serta cara beradaptasi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal ini menegaskan perlunya materi yang tidak hanya mengajarkan struktur bahasa, tetapi juga menjadi jembatan menuju pemahaman budaya secara komprehensif.
Kajian ini memperkenalkan pemanfaatan TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) sebagai kerangka konseptual untuk mengembangkan dan mengadaptasi materi BIPA berbasis folklor Indonesia. Dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip TRIZ seperti segmentation, prior action, intermediary, dan dynamics, folklor Indonesia dapat diolah menjadi aktivitas pembelajaran yang lebih sistematis, dialogis, dan relevan bagi siswa BIPA. Kajian ini mengusulkan model konseptual pengembangan materi BIPA berbasis TRIZ yang berpotensi memperkuat kompetensi interkultural, memperdalam pemahaman terhadap nilai budaya Indonesia dan karakter masyarakat Indonesia, serta memperluas peran bahasa Indonesia sebagai sarana diplomasi budaya di tingkat global.

The development of BIPA teaching materials requires innovative approaches that are able to integrate linguistic, cultural, and intercultural competence elements for learners from various countries. In teaching practice, BIPA learners often show the need to understand the character of Indonesian society, social norms, cultural customs, and ways of adapting to everyday life. This confirms the necessity of materials that not only teach language structures but also serve as a bridge toward a comprehensive understanding of culture.
This study introduces the use of TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) as a conceptual framework for developing and adapting BIPA materials based on Indonesian folklore. By applying TRIZ principles such as segmentation, prior action, intermediary, and dynamics, Indonesian folklore can be processed into learning activities that are more systematic, dialogic, and relevant for BIPA students. This study proposes a conceptual model for TRIZ-based BIPA material development that has the potential to strengthen intercultural competence, deepen the understanding of Indonesian cultural values and social character, and expand the role of the Indonesian language as a means of cultural diplomacy at the global level.
