 rtcomings in the EU’s handling of human rights\, with a particular focus
  on the protection of children and vulnerable individuals in Eastern Europ
 e. In many parts of this region\, there is no local embassy presence\, eve
 n though multiple countries rely on a single centralized representation. T
 his means that individuals in need of legal or social support may find the
 mselves without access to assistance—not just in one country\, but acros
 s several simultaneously.\n \nLanguage barriers\, lack of interpretation 
 services\, and unclear institutional responsibilities further complicate t
 he situation. Many individuals face legal and bureaucratic limbo\, with lo
 ng-term psychological consequences—especially those already in vulnerabl
 e positions.\n \nThe event pays special attention to the rights of parent
 s with children who have disabilities\, who often face systemic barriers a
 nd a lack of support—legally\, linguistically\, and in their contact wit
 h local authorities. These families are frequently marginalized within int
 ernational human rights structures\, where the child’s individual rights
  are emphasized but the broader family situation is overlooked. A comprehe
 nsive\, rights-based approach is urgently needed.\n \nThe event invites o
 pen dialogue on how these challenges can be addressed through collaboratio
 n between the EU\, Eastern European states\, and the Scandinavian countrie
 s. We will explore how to ensure that qualified and empathetic individuals
  are placed in the right institutional roles\, and how access to justice\,
  local support\, and human rights protections can be strengthened—regard
